Eriskay Ferry Port

The port of Eriskay sits on the west coast and is the gateway to the Isle of Barra to the southwest.

Although the port is just small slipway, the terminal building has a seated waiting room, toilet facilities and a public telephone.

Getting to the terminal is simple, with a bus stop located at the top of the slipway and a country lane heading south from the villages of Eriskay, Balla and Haunn.

Eriskay’s beautiful rolling hills are home to around 400 indigenous namesake ponies, so be sure to spend some time exploring the countryside and to keep an eye out for this rare Hebridean breed.
