Q: Can i cancel my booking?
A: It may be possible to cancel your booking, however refunds will be in accordance with the operator's terms and conditions. Please contact our call centre on for further information.
Q: Can I cancel the return leg of my crossing?
A: This may be possible depending on the route and operator that you have booked with however once you have used the outbound leg of your booking, the return is non-refundable.
Q: What are the penalties for cancelling my booking?
A: Tickets that are entitled to a refund under the operator's terms and conditions will incur a €35/£25 cancellation fee.
Please note, payment card charges and any ancillary products purchased are non refundable.
Q: Can I cancel my booking online?A: If you have a PLUS ticket, yes by logging into your online account.
You can log in to your account by clicking
'My Account' and follow the prompts.
All other tickets at present, can only be cancelled via our call centre by calling or by emailing customer.services@directferries.com.
Q: How close to departure can I cancel my booking?
A: PLUS tickets require 4 full days notice.
BASIC tickets are subject to the terms and conditions of the ferry operator. Please contact our call centre on for futher information.
Q: What options do i have if my booking is non refundable?
A: If your booking is non-refundable then the best option is to try to amend the dates to another time so that you may use the ticket again in the future.
Q: Is it worth buying cancellation Insurance?
A: When you make a booking, the last thing on your mind will be cancelling it.
Although it may appear to be an extra expense that you may not use, it is strongly recommended that your cover your payment by taking out the cancellation insurance cover.
Q: What happens if my ferry is cancelled?
A: The ferry operator will usually offer a viable alternative that you will be able to accept or decline.
If you decline the alternative then you will usually be refunded your ticket in full.
