Brittany Ferries

Brittany Ferries offer a wide selection of ferry routes to Western France and Northern Spain as well as a ferry service between France and Ireland.

When you sail with Brittany Ferries your destination port is more than just a port. Each of their destinations possesses its own character and is normally full of life with great places to shop, drink and eat.

Brittany Ferries offer a service which is centred on their luxury cruise ferries, which means your holiday starts the minute you step on board the ship.

The entertainment is varied and the food is French cuisine which of course has a great reputation. You can also shop in the many boutiques, or relax in your accommodation, which they have tried to make as comfortable and luxurious as they can.

On longer trips such as between England and Spain the cabin that you get can make a massive difference. Getting a cabin allows you privacy during the day along with a place to keep your belongings safe and by night provides you with a comfortable place to sleep.

Brittany Ferries also operate a no-frills service called Brittany Ferries économie on the Portsmouth Le Havre and Santander routes. The économie service is ideal for those who wish to travel to France or Spain at a very reasonable fare without either the cruise-style experience provided on other ships or the speed afforded by Normandie Express. Brittany Ferries économie uses the Etretat ferry.

  • "Brittany Ferries"

We have absolutely no complaints with Brittany Ferries, but while we were traveling, many school tours were onboard, and their supervision was practically non-existent. Despite staff's repeated calls for assistance, the students were left to roam and disrupt as they pleased. Only when an announcement was made about banning a student from ever traveling with Brittany Ferries again, did a student supervisor show his face. Don't let these comments disillusion you; the trip was still very enjoyable.

  • "Well Satisfied"

We travelled on the ferry Baie de Seine at 11.30 to arrive in Le Havre at 8.30 (French Time), after being directed to parking, we went to our allocated a cabin on deck 6. We decided on supper from the café and had a Baguette and coffee before retiring, where we enjoyed a comfortable single bed each in our en-suite cabin. In the morning we arose at 6.30 to grab a quick continental breakfast before we docked and disembarked to start our journey down to Limousin. Overall the ferry was comfortable and the staff friendly and efficient. We returned 9 days later on the Ferry Etretat which was equally comfortable and enjoyed a stress free journey back to GB. We would definitely travel with Brittany Ferries again as our trip to France was stress free and at a very competitive price. Many Thanks.

  • "A perfect start"

Loading with car was easy. Finding cabin was easy. Abers restaurant food was delicious, the buffet is to die for. Although there were 2 of us, we are in our seventies, so we had booked a 4 berth cabin, glad we did, compact and 'bijou!' Disembarking took time as the ferry was pretty full. Staff all helpful, smiling and delightful. The perfect start to our week away.
