"A very good trip"

I enjoyed my time on board. I had a standard cabin and it was very comfortable. The facilities on board were fine and the entertainment was good. I wish the WiFi access was wider, but apart from that everything was ok.

"A single traveller abroad"

Of all the ferry crossings I have used this was a wonderful experience and now will choose this company as my first choice. The cabin was immaculate particularly the bathroom en suite, as was the rest of the ship. The staff were pleasant and helpful and I felt comfortingly safe as a single lady on her travels abroad. The breakfast looked wonderful.the eggs freshly fried on display a rare sight these days
For a ferry crossing I felt it was most luxurious in spite of my reticence with thought of an overnight crossing and now will be my first choice on future occasions.
Thank you Brittany Ferries for a most restful and pleasant experience.

Very impressed by the booking in facilities, staff very amenable. Loading was very quick, which usually takes forever when in a van. Best meal so far. Cabin clean, plenty of hot water. After travelling back and forth between England and France for many years, I can honestly say St Malo Portsmouth trip is the most pleasant way to end a long journey.

The ship, staff and facilities were just as I expected, this was my second trip and both have gone well. It's a good way to travel although a little expensive. I would do it again.

I have made many ferry journeys taking vehicles backward and forward to Europe and have always been a cheapskate choosing to sleep in the chairs rather than booking a room. After the last journey from Civitaveccia to Barcelona on Grimaldy I swore I would only ever travel with a proper cabin to sleep in. This decision has transformed my experience and ensured that I arrive at my destinations relaxed and rested. Now, if we could only convince the shipping companies to charge a sensible price for the use of a cupboard overnight, they seem to think that what they offer is first class!
The Pont Aven is a lovely boat and the crew always seem particularly friendly. I think the Plymouth or Portsmouth to Saint Malo is one of my favourite routes as the timings are perfect for onward travel.
