Our first experience of this crossing as we usually use the Dover/Calais shorter crossing. Very impressed with the quality of the ferry, more luxurious than the ferries on the shorter crossings. Watched a film in the cinema but thought £6.50 was a little expensive when its only a small screen, small cinema and the sound wasn't brilliant but still great to have this facility. Had a meal in the self service restaurant and the food was very good and very reasonable prices for food and drinks in the bar unlike airports and planes which charge a fortune! Would definitely use again.

"Brittany Ferries is the best"

My wife and I have been crossing the Channel a few times each year for 50 years. We have experienced all the possibilities and are convinced that no other operator does it better than Brittany Ferries for comfort, food, time keeping and friendliness. Of course, given the longer crossings and the quality of the ferries they are more expensive but well worth it. Out of season the Pont Aven gives you the feeling you are on a cruise and, if you choose the right day, it can be very cheap. Make the most of these offers!

"Everything we could need"
Reviewed 02 January 2014 by Briar
We had booked a room without bathroom as there were none available on booking, so were very pleased to have finally been given one with bathroom (presumably one for disabled use that wasn't needed). We had thought that this may be noisy, being just nest to the shops etc where passengers pass regularly, but this wasn't the case. We arrived a little late into port but realise that we were lucky not to have been later considering the exceptional weather conditions that week. So we had everything we needed for a restful night.

Excellent, clean, good food and drink at a reasonable price. Wish though they'd stop the lorry drivers running their engines whilst waiting to disembark, nearly got gassed with diesel fumes whilst waiting to leave the vehicle deck! This seems to happen every time.
Other than that a very pleasant experience despite the force 10 gales!

Excellent travelling experience. Liked the L shaped bunk layout in our allocated cabin.
