Panormitis Guide

Panormitis Ferry Port

Panormitis is a tiny village located around 12km south of Simi Town and is found on the Greek island of Simi. There are two ferry routes departing the port; one to the north of the island which lasts around 45 minutes and another to Rhodes which lasts around two hours.

What is there to do in Panormitis?

Situated close to Turkey and Greece, Panormitis embraces both cultures in its food, architecture and values. The streets are lined with colourful buildings, clean streets and breathtaking views of the stunning surrounding landscape. For a touch of history and culture, head to the old churches and monasteries to witness the ancient buildings that embody the religious element of the village. The main sightseeing attraction is Syllogos Square which rests behind the castle, showcasing the beautiful infrastructure. The monasteries and churches are typically top of the itinerary, yet there are two museums that are also well worth a visit. After a day of sightseeing, the array of restaurants are perfect for a relaxing evening in the warm weather and calm atmosphere. Greek and Turkish cuisine combines in some places to create a truly authentic meal laced with tantalising flavours.

How do visitors get around Panormitis?

The village is so small that it can covered entirely by foot, which is the desirable option considering the pleasant weather and scenery.
