  • "Holyhead-Dublin-Holyhead "

We travelled on Epsilon going out which was one of the smaller ferries without Club class and there was a very bad vibration// rattle in the “ quiet” lounge. So loud that we were unable to sit there. We travelled back on Ulysses which was a much bigger ferry and we had booked Club class seats which were very good but really could have done with higher backs as we had been on the road since 2 am. The snacks provided were very welcome. Priority loading was good and we were away off the ferry very promptly on docking in Holyhead.

I booked my saling through direct ferries and they put the wrong times on my booking email when I arrived for the time my booking said to be there for the ship had gone hours before and I had to pay over one hundred pounds on the spot to get on the next sailing.

From the staff directing you to on board parking, to those in the cinema and most especially those in the Club Lounge, the staff were amazing. Facilities were excellent. Sailing was prompt and on time. A fabulous way to travel.

  • "Excellent trip on the Swift (Holyhead to Dublin) less impressed by the Ulysses (Dublin to Holyhead)"

We enjoyed the experience of travelling to Dublin on the Swift; boarding was efficient and quick, and the Club Class lounge was comfortable and peaceful. Boarding for the return journey seemed rather shambolic and slow. We were almost last on and struggled to find the Club Class lounge owing to lack of signage (we had ended up on the other side of the ship from the lounge area). Ulysses seating and layout not as comfortable as Swift and one coffee machine out of order leading to long queues. Food and drink on both journeys generally very good and staff efficient, although not particularly engaging.

  • "Overall a good experience."

Crossing from Holyhead to Dublin excellent. Crossing back was a late ferry 20.05. A group of children from 6? to 12? were running amok around the deck. Spoke to them directly without success so went to complain to the purser. Said their parents had been spoken to but made no difference. Shame!!

  • "Very Impressed -Ulysses "

First time using Irish Ferries, have always used Stena until now. Not sure if it’s just this boat but really clean and spacious, lots of food and seating choice in standard. Club class food/snacks and seating better on Stena, but view on Ulysses was fab, so only worth it in the day. Overall would use Irish ferries again where possible.

  • "Great experience "

We had a great experience. This was the very first time we travelled on a ferry and it was great and comfortable. We enjoyed the club class experience very much. (We notice in the Berth beds are done beautifully but the units are not dusted. This is not a complaint but It would be good for the reputation of your service. The ferry on the 24th 0815 from Holyhead to Dublin. )

  • "What a surprise!"

Flying to the UK on holiday from the USA, just myself and my 9 year old granddaughter. Rather than take the puddle jump from Dublin to Leeds, decided to extend the trip. After spending the night in Dublin, caught the morning ferry to Wales, and then the train to Harrogate. What a wonderful experience...This is not a car ferry, it is a luxury liner that happens to carry cars. The 3+ hour trip was made comfortable by the various accommodations. We sat as far forward as we could in the pub. But we also wandered throughout, enjoying being topside, and shopping in the store, and the various levels. I am recommending this mode of transportation to all my acquaintances. Bonus: The bus from the ferry to the terminal office is convenient, but it is also the rail station. Perfect!

Sailed out on the Ulysses and very impressed with the overall experience, plenty of room, activities for kids etc. Sailed home on the Epsilon, minimal seating and nothing for the kids but overall the journeys were quick and went without a hitch.

  • "Dublin to Holyhead and back "

My family enjoyed the ferry crossings which were punctual and very clean. We were very comfortable on the route to Holyhead but were disappointed with the scarcity of soft seating on the return on July 13th. I would however recommend the company on this route as the ferry was spotless and the staff very friendly.
