Mana Island Guide

Mana Island Ferry Port

Mana Island lays to the west of mainland Fiji on the Pacific Ocean, belonging to the ManaMuca Island group. The only ferry route is to Denarau on the west coast of Fiji, crossing three times per day and lasting just over an hour. The Mamanuca Islands have almost been solely responsible for Fiji’s tourism revolution over the past few years, with Mana Island contributing a large amount to the substantial growth. The main attraction to Mana Island is the abundance of activities on offer, ranging from exhilarating encounters with sharks to meditating in the tranquil environment. To put it simply, there is something for everyone on Mana Island. The most popular activities are generally the water sports, which is unsurprising considering the beautiful scenery and azure blue waters. Diving, snorkelling and kayaking remain the most common activity with tourists, especially the snorkelling which showcases the stunning coral reefs and sea life. For those that prefer to spend their free time on land, there are many ways to enjoy an afternoon; copious bush walks are available around the island, as well as a few tennis courts for the budding Nadal’s and Murray’s. Mana island is relatively small so it is possible to cover large portions by foot. All resorts will happily book guests a transfer to the port should they require one.
