DFDS Lisco offers regular passenger and freight ferry services across the Baltic Sea, connecting Lithuania, Germany, Sweden, Latvia and Russia.
Now operating under the brand name of DFDS Seaways, the ferry service was created following the takeover of a Lithuanian shipping company in 2001 and functioned under the name Lisco Baltic Service until 2006 when it changed to DFDS Lisco.

Unfortunately our email from direct ferries indicated the wrong time (20.00 instead of 22.00). The result was that we had to wait for 3.5 hours with 4 kids in the car until we could finally park on the deck. It was very unfortunate. We also arrived 2 hours later than in our schedule. The boat itself was fine, though there were many sundecks that were closed. We could not enter the top deck at all.

After five ferries on four lines I felt the cabin was the best Id been in. The food was good and the lounges pleasant. I do feel that car drivers should be aware that this really is a truck ferry. Cars had to negotiate very tight ramps and manoeuvre round posts to be squashed in at the very back. This meant that it was well over an hour after our late arrival before we began to move. The guy in charge of letting cars go did nothing to control the impatient drivers who cut into the line. Each car having to do shuffling manoeuvres to get round the tight bends. Once actually off the ship there were large trucks moving around and no clear route through. The worst disembarkation of the four lines.

Loading was timely and safe, departure and arrival punctual, and deboarding went smoothly. If you take a car and are one of the 1st loaded, expect it to take 45-60 minutes to off-load.
