About Isle of Mull

The Isle of Mull is the largest of the Inner Hebrides, an archipelago just off the western Scottish coast. Scotland’s third largest island is easily accessible by ferry, boasting one of the richest and most varied selection of wildlife in the UK, including white-tailed sea eagles and American mink, as well as thousands of plant species. Tobermory is the colourful capital on the northeast coast, defined by a brightly painted waterfront and an assortment of independent cafes, bakeries and shops. The most notable landmarks are the white sands of Calgary Bay, the marvellous sea arches of Carsaig and the imposing Ben More peak, providing excellent views of the Inner Hebrides. Sailing from the Scottish mainland to the Isle of Mull by ferry is hugely popular, with regular crossings running every day from the small town of Oban to Craignure on Mull’s east coast, lasting under an hour.
