  • "Great service, good food, no lifts"

All of the staff were cheerful and helpful. Due to a lack of lifts, I don't recommend the route for anyone with mobility problems or small children. Meals are included in the fare and were of a good standard. All public areas and the cabins were clean and spacious.

  • "First Irish Ferry trip with P&O"

Although the Liverpool-Dublin trip is a long one at 7 hours, you can use the time to relax and get ready for whatever you’ve planned. We had a daytime cabin so had somewhere to snooze, read or even shower.Food on the Ferry was good and service too.   Enjoyed the experience.

The staff were amazing, they couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. It was an 8 hour crossing and they just kept smiling and being kind.

  • "The ferry was fine but Direct Ferries not so much."

Booking the trip was very easy and as long as you don't mind a no nonsense sailing with lots of trucks the ferry is fine (evening meal and breakfast were great) but when P&O cancelled the return sailing Direct Ferries were hopeless, I had to phone P&O directly to fix the problem, they were very helpful.

  • "Break to Dublin "

Easy to book, downside on booking on line was asked if wanted at an additional cost to book meals or a cabin. Didn't want a cabin due to daytime crossing. Glad we didn't pay extra for meals as they were included at no additional cost in the ticket price. This seems to be on line booking to get more money from travellers.

  • "Plain sailing "

Are you fed up with airport frenzy ? Long queues hours before your flight ? All those hidden added extras on cheap flights ? Then extortionate car rentals ? If you are , go back to using the ferry - simple, friendly, comfortable , free refreshments and a chance to lie back and relax until your destination …

  • "Pleasantly Surprised "

My heart sank when I saw the size of the ferry, I thought the trip was going to be basic and uncomfortable but it was anything but. The lounge was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and plentiful and overall the trip was excellent value for money.
