Rottnest Express

Rottnest Express is a ferry company running services that link Fremantle and Perth City with the popular holiday destination Rottnest Island in Western Australia.

A winner of many accolades since their inception nearly 60 years ago, Rottnest Express fleet consists of three modern high-speed passenger ferries – Starflyte, Eagle Express and Sea Eagle. The ferry routes are renowned to be one of the roughest in the southern hemisphere, however the vessels have been specifically designed to counter these conditions and today Rottnest Express is known for its smooth, fast and safe crossings in any conditions.

From the ferry ports B-Shed Fremantle, Northport Fremantle and Barrack St Perth, the company sails numerous times daily to Rottnest Island as well as between the ports in mainland. The ferry crossings take from 45 minutes up to 2 hours 15 minutes. Facilities on board are limited however a flat screen TV and fantastic sea view will keep you occupied throughout your journey.

The company also offers various tours such as snorkelling and whale watching and those can be booked at the port. Enjoy the break in Rottnest Island where a host of wild life and unique experiences await you!
