Sete ferry port is situated on the French Mediterranean coast, very close to Montpellier, the 8th largest city of France. Located in the heart of l'Etang de Thau, an enclosed salt water lake used for oyster and mussel production, Sete is a very charming and attractive town. The ferry port provides crossings to Morocco (Tangier and Nador) and to the Spanish Mediterranean coast. The A9 motorway provides a fast connections to the rest of France. The biggest holidays resorts in the area are in Agde.
The Port of Algiers faces the Mediterranean Sea in the centre of the Algerian coast. The city itself is nicknamed ‘Alger la Blanch’ (Algiers the White), due to the large number of glistening white buildings rising up from the sea. There is plenty for you to enjoy whilst you wait for your ferry. There's a fascinating 17th Century Kasbah by the terminal, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. There are also several museums, most notably the Bardo. It houses a comprehensive selection of Algerian artefacts including costumes, jewellery and weaponry. The port is a short walk from Algiers train station and is found just off the N11, Rue d’Angkor.
