In addition to seating, passengers who travel in the luxurious Stena Plus lounge can enjoy waiter service and choose from a premium menu which includes a range of speciality seafood dishes and old favourites. So you can simply relax in your seats and order meals at your leisure.

The all new quick food experience ‘TASTE’ serves a great selection of fresh and tasty meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There’s something to suit all tastes and complimentary refills on tea and coffee while in the Barista Coffee House and Bar you can savour a range of Italian Coffee or a tempting snack.

Onboard Shopping

In the Superfast VII shop you’ll find a range of gifts, jewellery and fragrances with prices on average 40% cheaper than the UK high street.

Additional Onboard Facilities

Chill out in the onboard ‘Living Room’ – your lounge at sea! Enjoy complimentary magazines and all the latest news on 70” plasma TV screens.

Visit the ‘Pure Nordic Spa’ for a dip in the Jacuzzi or sauna to ensure you arrive rejuvenated and revived (only available to Stena Plus customers).

In the new concept POD lounge you’ll find an interactive zone with all the latest in technology including iPads, Xboxes and surf stations and a futuristic living digital display on the floor. You’ll also enjoy free Wi-Fi in the lounge and throughout the vessel.

If that isn’t enough to keep you occupied during your trip then sit back, relax and enjoy one of the free movies!

  • "Really great experience"

We travelled on late evening crossings between Cairnryan and Belfast. Arrival was fast, efficient and simple, with friendly and helpful staff. The ferry itself we really enjoyed, with plenty of chairs and space to relax and rest and the free cinema for my children. We would absolutely repeat this experience.

  • "Peasant journey"

Stena made our trip to NI very much part of the holiday. The lounge facility is very good value since you get away before the lorries block the roads. The facilities are similar to airport business lounges with good drinks and snacks. A Menu for meals is also an option. Compared to P&O this is a much more pleasant experience with lots of good seats and room to move around within the lounge even with its own toilets. Full marks for managing the vehicles so all in all a great trip.

  • "Great"

Loved it- short crossings, polite staff and quick and efficient at the ports. Shop was nice and there was plenty of seating. We left early as everyone arrived early for both crossings.

  • "Easy booking with lots of options"

Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of direction so you know where to go while moving around the port. The food areas were kept very tidy despite being busy. Plenty of toilets and facilities which were also clean. Only gripe was the quality of the food. Meals are quite expensive so you expect a higher standard but I have had better at a wetherspoons for half the price.

  • "Good trip..."

We had a very pleasant trip with no delays. The only thing missing really, was more for the kids to do once on board. The little play area could be bigger. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely fine but there could be a more exciting menu.

Traveling with a bicycle, but unfortunately there were no proper storage facilities/bike racks onboard. Bike had to be left in a crew room. Previously travelled Harwich to the Hook of Holland and they had racks to store bicycles.

  • "Ferry crossing"

Just got back from Belfast on the Cairnryan ferry. It was very easy to get the car on and off with no problems. Had fish and chips on board which were quite tasty. Loads of seats to pick from so no worries, there. Would recommend them to anyone who wants to go to Belfast and back with a car.

  • "Cancelled Sailing"

My 1130 sailing was cancelled a couple of hours before departure time. Was put on next sailing at 1530 which was delayed another 45 minutes. This all had a knock on effect for me as I didn't arrive at my final destination till 2am. Made the whole experience unsavoury and a very long day for a sailing that takes just over 2 hours to complete. Was given £10 off voucher to use on board and a 30% discount code which needs to be used in next 12 months which will be of no benefit to me as I won't be sailing again in the next 12 months.

  • "Changing plans"

The trip was very comfortable, although an hour late for ‘technical reasons’. The passenger lounge at Belfast is also comfortable although it was hugely overcrowded in the wait. However my trip was not uneventful. My car broke down in Ireland and the three passengers and the car were being recovered to the UK by the RAC. Which meant that we were travelling as foot passengers! I attempted to call Direct Ferries 25 hours before departure in order to cancel the car booking (t&c are that this can be done up to 24 hours before the trip). I waited in the call queue for an hour and never got higher than the 11th in the queue! I gave up and accepted that I would lose the car fare.

  • "Stems Line Service"

I book my trip through direct line,I found the site easy to use and found it to be cheaper than using stena Line directly. The crossing was quicker both way than there estimated time. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only down side was that I could not book my husband on as disabled as they only had help for wheel chair user. I hope they will sort this as not every disabled person is in a wheel chair. I hope to use this service again. We found that the staff at the Cairnryan gate where very help in making sure we were parked close to the doors on to the ferry.!!!

  • "Great trip. Expensive tickets, though."

I really enjoyed travelling by ferry. The service was efficient, with no delay on the way out and only a short delay on the return. Getting on the boat was slightly delayed on the way over (long queues), but prompt on the return. Disembarkation was prompt on both journeys. The food was good quality, but limited vegetarian options were available. I was impressed by the provision of activities for families. The tickets were expensive, though. It cost me about £360 for a return journey for 2 passengers.
