Operated by Stena Line on the Belfast Cairnryan route
The Superfast VII along with her sister ship Superfast VIII is among the largest and most luxurious ships in the Stena Line fleet and features a level of quality, comfort and service never before seen on the Irish Sea. The Superfast VII provides the best ferry experience on the Irish Sea with numerous facilities including a Nordic Spa, the ‘POD Lounge’, a chill out Living Room, ‘Taste’ dining, free Wi-Fi, free movies, Curious George for the kids and the exclusive Stena Plus Lounge.
Due to the short crossing, cabin accommodation is not available on the Superfast VII however reserved seating is available in the Stena Plus Lounge. Stena Plus offers a range of comfortable leather seating including sofas and sofa chairs on two levels, so you can find the area which is just right for you.
In addition to seating, passengers who travel in the luxurious Stena Plus lounge can enjoy waiter service and choose from a premium menu which includes a range of speciality seafood dishes and old favourites. So you can simply relax in your seats and order meals at your leisure.
The all new quick food experience ‘TASTE’ serves a great selection of fresh and tasty meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There’s something to suit all tastes and complimentary refills on tea and coffee while in the Barista Coffee House and Bar you can savour a range of Italian Coffee or a tempting snack.
In the Superfast VII shop you’ll find a range of gifts, jewellery and fragrances with prices on average 40% cheaper than the UK high street.
Chill out in the onboard ‘Living Room’ – your lounge at sea! Enjoy complimentary magazines and all the latest news on 70” plasma TV screens.
Visit the ‘Pure Nordic Spa’ for a dip in the Jacuzzi or sauna to ensure you arrive rejuvenated and revived (only available to Stena Plus customers).
In the new concept POD lounge you’ll find an interactive zone with all the latest in technology including iPads, Xboxes and surf stations and a futuristic living digital display on the floor. You’ll also enjoy free Wi-Fi in the lounge and throughout the vessel.
If that isn’t enough to keep you occupied during your trip then sit back, relax and enjoy one of the free movies!
The Stena Superfast VII features a Curious George™ themed play area with soft play corner providing a safe and fun environment for children. In addition to the soft play area, there is a children’s cinema and an interactive zone with touch screen technology meaning there's lots to keep young ones occupied.

"First trip for a while..."
My only real gripe is that the prices for a return crossing have increased dramatically. My colleague had a return flight into Belfast for £60 via liverpool and in future if prices remain high I may need to reconsider my travel options and send my business items via carrier to a customer and then fly in. If I had took this option this trip travel would have been around £100 less even including a hire car.

"Belfast Dock"
I was coming to the port from the NW and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is of access. It is efficiently run without any fuss. I would have no hesitation using this route again.

"Return journey "
Everything was fine except there was a mix up with the times of our return journey. We had on our ticket 11:30 crossing but it was registered as 15:30 and Stenaline said we probably couldn’t get on. We did manage to get on the 11:30 but after a bit of an anxious wait to see if they could fit us on.

"Great way to travel to Ireland "
Had a fantastic experience sailing with Stena Line. The only downside for us that we have to travel so far to the port. Apart from that the staff were brilliant, good choice of things to do while your passing the time, and I would love to sail with them again

We travelled Cairnryan to Belfast and back. Boarding was quick and professional. Facilities on board excellent. Had booked the Stena Plus lounge and it was definitely worth it. I just wish Cairnryan was a little closer to the M6

From booking to sailing, couldn’t ask for more. I arrived much earlier at Cairnryan than I expected, & was rebooked on an earlier sailing without hassle. Ship was stable in quite rough weather - so much better than my last crossing though admittedly that was 30 years ago!

Having arrived at check in within plenty of time we were directed on board but were placed in the bowels of the ship in deck 2. The lift to travel up to deck 7 or 8 was in constant use taking only 2 people at a time. The climb up all of the stairs was exhausting for two people over 65 so more considerate placing of vehicles would be appreciated. We did after all stipulate our age on the booking form. Same thing happened to us on the return Cairnryan to Belfast trip!
