  • "September sailing"

Wonderfully calm crossing from Caen to Portsmouth appreciating a beautiful sunset on 20th September. There is no need to reserve reclining seats as there was plenty of unreserved seating for everyone: we didn't make use of the seats we had reserved. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and bilingual. Beware clicking on the Premium Wifi button by mistake - the Brittany Ferries Free WiFi is adequate for most non-streaming purposes. There does not appear to be any advantage in arriving early: you can still end up being parked on the upper deck and being one of the last cars off the boat. Mounting bicycles on your car roof ensures you can't be sent to the upper deck!

  • "Delays and queues "

We had no problems with our ferries but the on shore organisation left much to be desired. Outwards the ferry was over an hour late. We arrived on time, first in line then last on the ship and this last off. Extensive checks at customs. No problems in France outwards or onwards. But over an hour at customs in Portsmouth. Brexit???

Friendly staff, professional service, on time, clean cabin, good food at reasonable prices. Only stress point was roadworks in Portsmouth which added 20 mins, and would have been good to know about in advance. Also Le Mont St Michel needs a refresh

  • "A nice surprise"

My daughter and I recently travelled from Caen to Portsmouth on the Brittany Ferries' ship the Mont St Michel. We usually travel a different route with another company and so we were pleasantly surprised with the size of the ship, the amenities, the cleanliness and the good range of food on offer. We shall certainly travel on this route again.

  • "Family holiday"

On bioth crossings the boats were clean and comfortable, although finding somewhere for a family of 4 to sit in the way back was a little tricky due to it being so busy. Staff were friendly and helpful, and remained cheerful, despite an obvious full on workload. Food and drink options were good, although a latte coffee would have been much appreciated! On the return ferry we were sat in the cafe area and the ferry was incredibly busy, we were so impressed with the serving staff, they quite literally did not stop the whole trip as there wad not 1 lull in people queuing, but they remained happy and courteous throughout. The only negative wad that both sailings were half an hour to an hour late leaving
