Naantali Guide

The Finnish city of Naantali is located in the south west of the country and is perhaps one of the most important tourist destinations in Finland. The town's proximity to Turku, the region's administrative centre, the archipelago and the mix between the urban and the rural all combine to enhance the town's popularity with visitors. The town is characterised by the old town's narrow alleys, the beautiful floral display in the Kultatanta garden, the president's summer house and the history of the Convent. The Moomin World theme park on the island of Kato is another interesting and popular attraction in the town. The theme park is based on books written by Tove Jansson and the blueberry coloured Moomin House is the park's most popular attraction. There is also an international music festival held every June in Naantali and the traditional Sleepyhead Day Carnival held every July.

Car ferries operate all year round with services up to three times a day between Sweden and Naantali. Services to and from Aland islands also operate with one departure daily from Monday to Friday.
