  • "Simple online booking makes P&O look antiquated"

We’ve got increasingly frustrated with P&O’s online booking platform so decided to give Directferries a go. Much simpler and it works! P&O please take note and get someone to sort out your dreadful website.. Ship was fine. Personnel in the Club Lounge were excellent My wife is gluten intolerant and the stewardess went kut of her way to find and check suitable food. Thank you!

  • "Ferry Calais to Dover ‘Flexi’ ticket "

The sail over was fantastic and the facilities are amazing especially worth while paying the £10 extra on board to get access the the club restaurant all you can drink & eat etc ! However we paid an extra £30 for a flexi ticket which should have allowed us to board within 4 hours earlier/later either way of our booking slot and despite arriving 2 hours earlier than our booking slot we were denied entry till our booking time, so had to hang around those 2 hours even though it wasn’t that busy ….so it was pointless paying the extra £30 !!!

  • "Impressive and efficient service"

We caught the ferry to France on the morning President Macron was closing the borders at midday to non essential travel. Loading and off loading went without a hitch. The ferry was very clean and staff were cleaning handrails on the stairs every fifteen minutes. Impressive! The staff were friendly and cheerful.......Keep calm and Carry on was definitely the order of the day. Well done!

  • "Great, easy experience"

Really happy with our experience, arrived at the Dover terminal almost 4 hours before we were due to sail, the young lady greeted us warmly and impressed my wife by knowing our names (due to vehicle reg recognition on approach), she very quickly checked us in and got us on an early sailing, 15 minutes, we were directed straight on. only downside was we were one of the last on a busy ferry with Busloads of school children, junior football teams, which meant we couldn't find a seat which was a bit of a blow as I had hoped to break up my drive from Liverpool via Birmingham onto Disneyland Paris with a quick sleep. Not to worry though. Our return journey 3 nights later was exactly the same with us allowed to get an earlier crossing, this time we were spoilt for choice as there was only a handful of people on the ferry. would definitely use this service again. Thanks to all.

  • "Very disappointed with the service of P&O"

I been very disappointed with the service on the checking because I was late by 40mins because heavy road work on M2 all the traffic was diverted and I was lost and the guy charge me Extra £20.00 he told me that he dont know were I brought my ticket for that cheap even it was flexible I pay £122.00 for a ferry I dont know how he can call cheap were there is time I have pay £60.00 return and tell me what he will call that charity. And for me I will not travel again with P&O I will put my money DFS no matter what the price will be they never charge extra specially if is a flexible ticket. That is my own opinion and my experience with p&O. Thank you Jimmy Lozaique

Good imaginative food as well as the inevitable fish and chips but the service on the Pride of Canterbury ( I think, we came back on the 1325 and not the 1410 as planned)was quite excellent. Yhank you Karen and colleagues. Some loos out of order incidentally.but overall very good.

  • "Easy traveling"

It was my first time taking a ferry and it was super easy. Driving up through customs was simple but I noticed the staff there were very friendly. The woman checking our passports at the French customs area didn’t even say one word to us. But the clerk running the check in booth was very welcoming. The trip itself was good. The waters were quite rough on the outgoing trip but there’s nothing you can do about that. I feel the captain did a good job sailing in the poor weather conditions. There was plenty of seating available for the passengers and a few food options. I will say the food court meals did not look appetising but I was able to find decent food elsewhere aboard the ship. Also, we made great timing on the outgoing ship but for some reason we were about thirty minutes late on departure coming back. It was no big deal to my family but had we had other plans that could have affected them. All in all, it was a good experience.
