"AN ENJOYABLE CROSSING"
Small ship but not crowded. BF staff were very good at all times. Prices for food and drink very reasonable. On the return crossing the weather was not so good and the ship rolled a little but not a problem.

"Fifty-fifty"
I travelled from France to Portsmouth on the Baie de Seine, which is a good improvement on past ferries. The cabins are well-designed for convenient space, the shop and restaurant areas look inviting and well-presented. Boarding and disembarking well handled. I came back on the Etretat, an older boat (I think) where the layout and appearance are showing their age. I don't understand why you have to queue up for a cabin entry code. I discovered the next morning that the upper bunk (cabin 6A25) above me was insecurely fastened, and could have given me a mighty crack on the head! Staff on both boats were welcoming and polite.

"SurprisingY good"
We travelled from Le Havre to Portsmouth. The loading was quick and simple, our car was placed on a sun deck! The reclining seats were good and all food and drink was reasonably priced. The food was really quite decent and cheap. The number of lorry drivers was high and normal passengers low. It’s a medium to small sized boat. But as good as any.

"Trip to France"
The outward trip was very good, the ship Baie de Seine was better for disembarkation than the Etretat which was the ship on the return journey. that part took too long. But overall standards are very good for the "Economie " ships

"Professional and well run"
I slept well in the lounge and woke refreshed. A good journey back to France. I ate breakfast in the lounge and got halfway through when I was asked if I would mind moving to the next lounge by a very nice member of staff. I was happy to do so. On the way out the reason became very apparent. An elderly couple were sitting a few rows behind me and the man had obviously passed away in the night. His wife was very upset. Paramedics were in attendance as well as staff. It was handled incredibly well by the staff and paramedics, they could not have been more helpful and kind.

"Wait at dock"
We docked at 9.30 PM at Portsmouth on 2 Sept. But I only left the docks at 11.05 PM after unloading the ferry and passport control. This makes think the channel tunnel maybe quicker. Coming back you just want to drive off and leave.
